There are over 20,000 self build/direct labour houses
built on sites in Ireland each year along with countless
extensions
and renovations. This market is worth over 2
billion euro per annum and Munster has one of the
highest number of self
builds
out of all the provinces.
Meanwhile there are few resources for people who are
building houses in Ireland. The Help Me Build and
Renovate site
was
setup to provide more information to self builders and
home improvers. This means that Irish businesses
who
are involved in the building trade or who provide related services
have an effective way of reaching their target
audience
through this site
at a low cost.
At present we get approximately 1,000 visitors to the
site per month and are hoping to increase this number
through
offline advertising such as through tradeshows and on
local papers.

We also have a forum on the site where site visitors can
post their questions and discuss any experiences they've

building, decorating or renovating their house.
Although businesses may not use the forums to blatantly
